Used For:

• Sporlac DS is a probiotic used to restore healthy gut bacteria.

Adult Dosage:

• 1 tablet or sachet 1–2 times daily, after meals.In diarrhea: usually 1 tablet twice daily for 3–5 days.Can be continued for 2–4 weeks for gut health or antibiotic support.Must be taken after food for better survival of probiotic bacteria.

• Known allergy to probiotics or lactobacillus speciesSeverely immunocompromised individuals (rare risk of infection)Critically ill ICU patients (use with caution)Patients with short bowel syndrome (rare complications reported)

Precautions:

• Do not take with very hot drinks (heat kills bacteria).Take 2 hours apart from antibiotics(some antibiotics may reduce probiotic effect).Safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding when used in recommended doses.Avoid if you have a central venous catheter (rare infection risk).If diarrhea persists >48 hours or has blood, consult a doctor.

Dietary Restrictions:

• No strict restrictions, but for faster recovery:Avoid spicy, fried, or very oily foodsAvoid excess milk during diarrhea (except in infants)Prefer curd, buttermilk, bananas, rice, soupsStay well hydrated (ORS recommended in diarrhea).
