Used For:

• Fever (antipyretic); mild to moderate pain

Contraindications:

• Do not use in: Known hypersensitivity to paracetamol,Severe liver disease (acute/chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis) Severe alcoholism (increases risk of hepatotoxicity)Patients already on multiple paracetamol-containing drugs (risk of overdose)

Side Effects:

• Nausea, stomach upset;Rash, mild allergic reaction

Precautions:

• Patients with liver disease, chronic alcoholism, malnutrition; Patients with kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed);Avoid double-dosing from multiple OTC cold/flu/pain medicines that also contain paracetamol;Safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding at recommended doses (but should be physician-guided).

Dietary Restrictions:

• Avoid alcohol (increases risk of liver damage)Maintain adequate hydration during fever.
