Used For:

• Azax 500 is used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms.Common indications include:Respiratory tract infections:Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumoniaEar, nose, and throat (ENT) infectionsSkin and soft tissue infectionsUrogenital infections:Urethritis, cervicitis (including Chlamydia trachomatis)Typhoid fever (as an alternative in resistant cases)Traveler’s diarrhea (certain cases)Community-acquired pneumoniaMycoplasma or atypical bacterial infections

Adult Dosage:

• 500 mg once daily for 3 days (common regimen for respiratory or skin infections)OR500 mg on day 1, followed by 250 mg once daily on days 2–5 (alternative schedule)Sexually transmitted infections (Chlamydia):1 g (1000 mg) single dose orallyShould be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals with water.

Contraindications:

Precautions:
